The Promise Center of Homewood provides comprehensive academic and enrichment programming in a safe, supportive after-school environment—helping students build skills, confidence, and healthy routines.
Academic Support & Homework Help
Students receive tutoring and coaching in reading, writing, and mathematics, along with structured time for homework completion. We focus on skill-building strategies, encouragement, and steady progress that supports classroom learning.
S.T.E.A.M & Technology Enrichment
Hands-on learning helps students explore science and technology beyond the classroom—building critical thinking, problem-solving, and confidence. Programming includes STEM clubs and workshops such as robotics, coding, and computer skills.
Arts & Creative Expression
Creative opportunities—like drawing, painting, crafts, and performance-based activities—help youth build confidence, practice self-expression, and develop patience and pride through making and creating.
Health, Nutrition & Recreation
Students stay active and engaged through organized recreation that supports teamwork and healthy habits. Activities may include fitness games, obstacle courses, and sports-based play—paired with health and nutrition education and snack time.
Confidence, Leadership & Life Skills
Self-esteem is built through mentorship, recognition of achievements, and opportunities to practice leadership. Youth develop communication and real-world skills through reflection, goal-setting, community service, and age-appropriate life preparation.
